“Growing up as a child of an artist, I remember my dad’s art not just as inspiration, but as abstract and random…literally and figuratively. Drawers full of sketches, paintings shoved under the bed or in the closet; a garage full of half finished masonite panels and canvasses out of which I used to build forts.

We have a precious few pieces, but most of these works of art are lost now with the odd piece occasionally found. These were important pieces of my father’s life as an artist. If only my dad had a space like this to record and share his art with the world!

Bob Brooks Creative is the digital record of my art. So, for now and in the future my family and friends don’t have to go rummaging around in the garage for the pieces of my life as an artist.

This site is dedicated to my dad, Vern Brooks. And, as Dad would say, this is ‘My world and welcome to it.’ ”
